Biography[]

Years prior to Breakout[]

Splitface has made a name for himself not only for his split personality but also for his unpredictable actions, which have led him to get chased off multiple planets, with warrants for his arrest due to his countless acts of burglary, property damage, and attempted murder. At one point, Splitface's actions garnered the attention of the Hero Factory, to which he was tracked down, cuffed, and imprisoned in their Villain Storage Facility.

Breakout[]

Splitface escaping during the Breakout

After many years of imprisonment, he, along with all other villains within the facility, escaped after the Villain Black Phantom instigated a mass Breakout. Amidst the chaos, Splitface comes into close-quarter combat with Hero Jimi Stringer. Stringer throws the villain to the ground before jumping onto his back and wrestling him. As Splitface tries to shake Stringer off, he receives help from fellow villains Fire Lord and Jetbug, who crash down on Splitface, landing directly on the Hero. This impact sends both Stringer and his ally, Rocka, flying. After the heroes are pushed aside, Splitface excuses the Heroes before making his escape through a black hole tornado, joining the ranks of other escapees.

Spliface discovered

Surge locating Spliface

Upon his escape, he travels to the Sigma-Sigma system, where he begins attacking a communications satellite vital to the Hero Factory. Doing so will also disable the force shield that surrounds the station, protecting the civilians living there from the oncoming/surrounding asteroid field. He plans to do so by repeatedly launching a series of large asteroids at it. With the amount of power, it would break through the shield, not only destroying the station but potentially killing all bots who are living on it. Once he completes his mission, he can raid any station and the hero factory won't be able to arrive in time.

Eventually, rookie Surge arrives at the system to seize Splitface of his grand plan. Surge locates the villain, refuging atop a massive asteroid, bigger than the station itself, literally talking to himself regarding the method of weaponry they should use to split the rock before sending it towards the station. Upon the villain noticing the hero, he immediately charges at him. Before Surge can launch his Hero Cuffs at the villain, Spliface fires at him with his Meteor Blaster, which sends him flying across the air. As Surge regains his cuffs and rebalances himself, he makes his way back to the asteroid. As Spliface continues to argue with himself, Surge remerges charging at the villain before punching him and blasting the villain with his Electricity weapon-functioning-Plasma Shooter, sending him backward.

After briefly reflecting on the futile nature of their fight, Splitface fires at the Hero with the acid-tipped projectile from his Infecticide Cannon. At the same time, Surge descends from above, preparing to strike the villain. Splitface jumps towards the rookie and engages him in close-quarters combat with his Shredding Claw before aiming again from a small asteroid. Eventually, Splitface catches Surge off guard by distracting him with a chunk of asteroid before blasting him with another beam of acid from his blaster. The acidic shot corrodes him, immobilizing him before sending him crashing into a nearby meteor. As Surge lies helpless, Splitface makes his way towards his defeated enemy. He takes a moment to congratulate himself on his victory. He then grabs the Hero with his Claw and sends him crashing into another asteroid which causes it to rapidly move towards the station.

Spliface cuffed by Surge

Spliface's Defeat

Surge eventually breaks free from the acid, thanks to his newly retrofitted armour. He then splits the asteroid with his electric sword but is ambushed by Spliface, who tackles him to the ground. As the two-on-one battle rages, Surge quickly activates his electric sword again to block an incoming swing from the Shredding Claw, pushing the villain back in the process. Right as Spliface is about to strike, surge successfully impales the villain with his sword, electrifying him, and leaving him there stunned before being lifted by Surge and thrown into the asteroid headed for the station, destroying it upon the impact of the immobilized villain. As he lies/floats defeated Surge seizes the opportunity and successfully cuffs the villain before returning to the station with him, where he is stripped of his weapons and transported back to the Villian Storage Facility.

Personality and Traits[]

Splitface is a disassociation with two distinct personalities. These two different identities are constantly at war with one another, although the confusion between the two leads to an unpredictability in fighting. He is also capable of using both identities simultaneously in his attacks, when the one particular identity cannot remain dominant or dormant. The different personalities stem from the two different halves of his body: one mechanical side, and one mutated "organic" side, each with their own related weapon and fighting preferences.

Appearance[]

Splitface, a dual-themed villain, wears dark silver and black armor on his right side and rusty red armor on his left. His right leg and upper arm each feature a bright green infecticide spike, reminiscent of the molten spikes found on various other villains. In contrast, his left side has rounded shoulders and knees. Additionally, his head is characterized by a pronounced jaw similar to Thunder's, and he has striking bright red eyes in the TV series.

Weapons[]

Each of Splitface's personalities prefers using a different weapon. The Dark Silver mechanical side prefers using his Shredding Claw, which has the power to slice through steel with ease while armed with infectious spikes. The organic personality prefers using an Infecticide Cannon, which can shoot the deadly and mutagenic substance infecticide while also functioning as a regular Meteor Blaster.
