Biography[]

Legion of Darkness[]

Many years ago, Voltix and his partner, Splitface were stealing a night vison upgrade and possibly other upgrades as well on the planet, Epsilon Gamma IV when they were interrupted and were chased by Alpha leader Preston Stormer who had claimed to a Hero from the Hero Factory. The two villains then ambushed Stormer and nearly had the advantage before another Hero, Thresher arrived and attached a magnetic mine on Voltix which causes the villain to panic and tried to ask his partner for help. However, instead of helping Voltix; Splitface fled from the planet. After arresting Voltix, Thresher explained to Stormer and Voltix that the mine is a fake and won't explode.

He was then put in a plastic cell on Asteroid J-54, but was set free along with Toxic Reapa by XT4. As they tried to escape; they were confronted by both Bulk and Von Ness, however, XT4 had released a couple of prisoners who created a distraction while the three escaped through the prison's roof and were confronted by Von Ness. Before Von Ness could fight with them; the three villains quickly persuaded the Hero to let them pass by casting doubts on him. Soon afterwards, the three villains then fled in XT4's ship and met up with Black Phantom and the rest of the organization. A few days later, in the back room of a refueling station; Voltix along with the other members of the Legion of Darkness (and an assembled army of criminals (that were broken free from Asteroid J-54) (this was a army that Black Phantom had wanted to create after the legion was arrested by hero factory and there's nothing in the book itself to say it ever exsisted)) celebrated the closing of the Hero Factory itself while Black Phantom announced his plans to move the organization into the now-vacant factory and establish it as their new headquarters.

When the Legion of Darkness were met by Stormer; Voltix along with Toxic Reapa, Speeda Demon, and Thornraxx (on a another scout ship) were then ordered by Black Phantom to secure the Assembly Tower. Shortly after Toxic Reapa threw out Thornraxx; they encountered Thresher. Voltix hurled two bolts of electricity at the Hero (which one miss and hit the conveyor belt instead) before their badly damaged ship (due to slamming into a partly closed launch bay door) exploded. After a short fight, he and the others captured Thresher with a crane's claw and were amusing themselves by slowly lowing the hero towards a disassembly machine until Black Phantom suddenly appeared, saw what was going on, and tried to rush them into dropping Thresher into the machine. Before the four villains could drop Thresher; they were interrupted by Bulk and the other members of Alpha 1. After Stormer played a recording of Black Phantom's statement. He, Toxic Reapa, and Speeda Demon took down Black Phantom for betraying them and were then captured by the heroes and sent to Asteroid J-54.

Breakout[]

At some point after this, Voltix is relocated to the Villain Storage Facility at the Hero factory. There, Heroes Rocka and William Furno escort Voltix into Hero Factory's underground containment unit, where they, along with a group of workers, lowered a crate before pushing and locking him inside. However, as he was being lifted to the wall, he released a cloud of energy from his body, which resembled Von Nebula. The cloud floated and swooped towards Von Nebula's Black Hole Orb Staff, also situated in the compound, and made contact with it, causing it to shatter. The Shattered staff then blew a hole in the ceiling and created a black hole tornado portal. The energy disturbance caused the cells to unlock, with Voltix jumping out first and announcing their getaway, followed by every villain rushing toward their exit. As he makes his getaway, Voltix brushes past and strikes Rocka in the back, before blasting a beam of electricity at him, attempting to immobilize the Hero, to which he blocks the incoming attack before getting distracted, allowing Voltix to flee.

Before he exits through the portal after the other villains, Voltix briefly bloats the heroes, apologizing for all the property damage he caused before jumping into the portal and laughing away.

Voltix with a Lightning Background Effect

Voltix on Tansari VI

Upon his escape, Voltix fled to Tansari VI with a new goal: to harvest the power from the planet's lightning array, which he could use to create an ultimate and destructive weapon. As he starts draining the Lightning Array of its power, Voltix has already conceptualized and created his Shooting Volt Blaster, which he does so with the modified remains of an old Meteor Blaster he uncovered. Eventually, Hero Jimi Stringer was dispatched to Tansari VI shortly afterward to prevent this premature plan from continuing any further. As Voltix continues to gather various power cells from one of the lightning arrays, he piles them up to convert them into energy. Stringer approaches the villain and throws his hero cuffs at him, but Voltix zaps them with his head-mounted electric shooter, immobilizing them. The cuffs then fall right in front of him. After asserting his dominance in the environment, Voltix quickly speeds away from Stringer, just as he is fired upon by a barrage of shots from his Sonic Boom weapon. As Stringer searches for the villain through the thick fog, Voltix surprises him by hitting him on the head before shooting his Volt Blaster. However, Stringer manages to dodge the incoming shots and kicks Voltix away. Voltix notices Stringer's hero cuffs and attempts to retrieve them to give Jimi an advantage. But before he can do so, Stringer shoots him backward, stopping him in his tracks.

As he retrieves his cuffs and states that their battle is over, Voltix begins absorbing the lightning power from the arrays around him, creating a massive bright blue light of supercharged energy with his Volt Blaster before blasting Stringer with the supercharged energy, stunning him and causing him to collapse immobilized. Voltix approaches the neutralized Hero in triumph and laughs away as he is about to finish him off, however, in the time it took him to approach him, Stringer's core quickly recharged thanks to his new upgrades made specifically for the environment of Tansari VI, and dodged Voltix's incoming attack before smacking him back. A frustrated Voltix charges at him and gets struck in the back before turning and shooting him with his Volt Blaster, only for Stringer to block the incoming attack with one of the extracted fuel cells aside him, which supercharges it and causes it to explode sending the villain flying back.

Voltix's defeat

Voltix's defeat

After he recovers, Voltix realizes his Volt blaster has been disabled from the battle before getting surprise-cuffed by Stringer, who then jumps on the villain's back and pulls one of his wires, which causes him to spasm out and collapse. Upon his defeat, Voltix was stripped of his weapons and was returned to containment after the rest of the Alpha 1 Team successfully defeated Black Phantom.

Years after Breakout[]

After an unspecified period, it is implied that Voltix, along with several other inmates, escaped the Villain Storage facility yet again and was at large for a time, as mentioned in Secret Mission 1: The Doom Box. However, it also suggested that Voltix was among the many villains eventually recaptured by the Hero Factory, as stated in Secret Mission 4: Robot Rampage. He is now in custody.

Personality and Traits[]

Voltix exhibits a cold-blooded nature and remains two steps ahead of everyone else, relishing in his actions that often bore little consequence. His affiliation with the Black Phantom has transformed him into a formidable adversary for the Hero Factory. His unexpectedly charming demeanor masks a penchant for chaos, and he can easily become uncontrollable when provoked or challenged by his opponents.

As his name implies, Voltix has powers over electricity. He can alter currents in a field and use magnetic waves which are even powerful enough to discharge a pair of Hero Cuffs, and even breach the Hero Factory containment cells as he does so to incite the breakout in the first place as well as absorbing electric energy to use for defence as he does so against Stringer as well as being as equally as cunning as he is vicious, evidenced by his actions in Breakout.

Appearance[]

Voltix is primarily dawns purple armour on his upper body with red, black and dark silver accents. His bright red eyes sheltered behind his grey helmet share the same model as Speeda Demon and Black Phantom while featuring two red and blue wires that go around his body from his head and back to his arms.

Weapons[]

Voltix wields a modified Meteor Blaster, the Volt Blaster. This weapon fires bolts of electricity that can either paralyze or kill his victims. Additionally, he carries a Lightning Whip, effective for close-quarter combat. Although he briefly appears with the whip, Voltix only uses his Volt Blaster in the Breakout TV Movie.

Set Information[]

Voltix was released as one of the 7 small-bagged villain sets during the first wave of Breakout on July 20th, 2012. His set number was 6283 and contains 61 pieces including exclusive purple armour pieces as well 4 electricity particle pieces that are to be places on his back and head while also containing two red and blue tubes. His Set also came with a Hero Core. However, the Hero Core is not used in the construction of the set, and is meant to provide a 300-point code for the online Breakout game
