Aldous Witch, a.k.a. Witch Doctor, is the main antagonist of Savage Planet. Formerly an employee of the Hero Factory, he assumed his current identity after becoming exposed to the amplified Quaza energy emanating from a mysterious Skull that he found on the planet Quatros following his banishment from the organisation. He seeks to rid the peaceful planet by extracting all of it's resources for himself to create an army, however he was ultimately stopped by the Alpha 1 Team and, despite briefly escaping during the breakout, Aldous has remained in Custody for his actions.

Aldous attempting to supercharge himself in Quaza chamber

Aldous witch was an instructor at the Hero factory, teaching rookie Heroes and fellow staff members all things astronomy and architectural geology while also being Alpha leader Preston Stormer's mentor and professor while he was a rookie. Throughout his service at the Hero Factory, Aldous continued to gain an undying urge and fascination for the Quaza Core the Heroes possessed. This interest has sparked him to continuously conjure formulas and theories on how it would be possible to gain the power that Quaza can provide and where to get large amounts of it. Aldous kept getting called crazy by his fellow professors, stating that his Quaza theories were highly questionable and iradical. Eventually, Aldous's thirst for power, in conjunction with his rather negative social status became too great. One day, after the events of Ordeal of Fire, he tried having himself implanted with a Quaza in the Quaza Recharge Chamber. Luckily, Stormer caught wind of this during a routine premises check and immediately cut Aldous off his power. Upon Aldous's arrest for his actions, Mr. Makuro ordered that, instead of being sent to prison due to his decades of service, he was exiled from the planet and the Hero Factory, never to return.

At some point later during his travels, he came across the jungle planet of Quatros. Aldous had learned all about the nature reserve through the Hero archives during his studies back at the Hero Factory. Aldous approaches Quatros and disables the force field surrounding it, using his hero disarm pass codes, before successfully landing on the long inactive planet. During his stay, he discovered and wandered into an ancient Quaza temple that's believed to be the source of the Quaza stone. Within the temple housed an ominous stone skull that calls out to Aldous. Eventually, Aldous became drawn to the skull's supernatural charisma and found himself fitting the skull into a staff. Upon adding a sliver of Quaza, the staff not only amplified its power but transformed him into the hulking menace that is the Witch Doctor. Witch, with his newly formed power, had a new goal in mind: harvest as much of the planet Quaza as to create his army in spite-vengeance against all those who wronged him. He began his mission by enslaving the planet's wildlife by outfitting each with custom-sculpted Quaza Spikes, controlling them to do his bidding from the comfort of his controlling staff, and ordering them to start illegally mining for Quaza.

Months go by without anyone in the galaxy realizing Aldous's activities. Eventually, he mined and collected nearly the entire supply of Quaza from the temple, which has now become his new base of operations. From there, he built a mind-controlled animal army infused with Quaza.

Savage Planet

The Witch Doctor Appears

The Witch Doctor confronting Rocka

Using his advanced engineering background, he constructed a miniature airship to carry the stolen Quaza due to his old drop ship being long decommissioned. However, with the limited resources he had, Aldous was only able to make one, which certainly wasn't enough to collect all the Quaza. He then came up with the idea to use his old drop ship's communicator to transmit a distress beacon to the Hero factory, which he does, intending to raid and take the transport of whoever comes and flee the planet with the rest of the Quaza. Luckily for Witch, New rookie Rocka receives his signal on his way back to the Hero factory nearby after completing a mission. Upon the rookie's arrival, one of Aldous's mind-controlled Fangz leads the Rocka straight to him, situated elsewhere. Upon Rocka attempting to recognize the former employee, the villain sends two more Fangz to attack the rookie, leaving him incapacitated and almost killed before fleeing the scene.

The Alpha 1 Team is sent in response to Rocka going missing, to which they thankfully find him and revive the fallen rookie. Aldous then brushes past, leading Hero William Furno, rushing after him. As the villain maniacally laughs throughout the jungle, Furno continues chase until he is surprised and attacked by the Doctor with a swing from his staff, sending him flying into a wall. As the villain menacingly stands over Furno, he mocks him for being ''another one of Makuro's hot-shots'' before flipping over his annoyed incoming attack. The villain, now glowing red with Quaza, vaguely reveals to Furno his true intentions of luring the heroes to this now Savage planet. He admits that the Quaza has ''changed him..'' enforcing his now superiority over the heroes and, with their ship, can escape the planet with the Quaza before laughing away as he re-enters the shadows.

As Aldous continues his illegal operation at the Quaza temple while torturing the animals to work harder, he watches from the comfort of the perspective of the Animals he is controlling as the Heroes encounter and battle a Scorpio and a Waspix. As a Rawjaw is loading vats full of Quaza, the Witch Docter slashes the poor animal in the back before monologuing to himself how all those who questioned him of his methods back at the Hero factory are wrong, mocking and quoting their constant concerns. Suddenly, he notices a pile of rocks fall from behind a tree, redirecting him and two Fangz to search for whoever has come to seize his operation. Eventually, one of the Fangz leads a shrunken Rocka and Dunkan Bulk into a large, empty vat, trapped. Aldous looks down in pleasure, happy to see the heroes look as he imagines they must feel: hopeless. As the villain carries the vat full of trapped Heroes he's abruptly stopped by a violent earthquake from the planet, signalling that it will perish with everyone on it as the doctor continues the mining.

The Witch Doctor Using the Skull Staff

The Witch Doctor Using the Skull Staff on Scorpio

Sometime later, the rest of the Alpha 1 Team reaches the temple, currently being chased by the Scorpio they encountered earlier. Aldous notices the incoming Heroes and roars how they are outmatched here before shooting a Bright beam of Quaza power at the Scorpio's Quaza spike, supercharging him, who begins charging faster at the heroes, enchanted with the new dose of the Witch Doctor's control. Upon Furno wrestling and successfully removing the Quaza spike from the Scorpio's back, breaking him of the Witch Doctor's influence, the scorpion attacks the villain in a fit of rage and triumph of freedom with his Meteor Blaster mounted tail. As the mini battle ensues between villain and creature, Aldous notices the still wandering Rawjaw and shoots a beam of Quaza at him with his staff, sending the animal to fight Scorpio, starting an all-out animal fight. As the Heroes and Animals battle, Aldous breaks away from the action to witness the mini airship leaving with the Quaza. As the planet violently shakes from the Doctor's actions, the villain maniacally laughs away at this success as he's engulfed in smoke.

Witch Doctor battling Rocka XL

Witch Doctor battling Rocka XL

After the shrunken heroes regain their former size, Rocka charges toward the villain, full of confidence, before getting whacked in the face by the doctor, sending him flying into a nearby shelter. As Aldous comes face to face with Stormer, he greets his former student before glowing red again from the power of the Quaza before both sides charge at each other, initiating the final battle. Aldous dodges all incoming shots from Stormer while Stormer, likewise, dodges all swings and stomps from the Witch Doctor. He grapples onto his leg before being kicked off, sending him flying. Aldous eventually gains the upper hand by throwing Stormer aside and blasting the Alpha leader with the beam of curropt Quaza from his staff. As he watches Stormer suffer from the effects of the Quaza interfering with the Quaza in his core, his attention draws to Rocka, who reemerges upgraded, and being transformed into Rocka XL. The Hero delivers a corny catchphrase at the doctor before charging at him, only to get stuck and sent to the ground. As the Witch Doctor is about to strike him, The super powered Rocka kicks him in the stomach with his knee before punching the villain into the air. Aldous lands away, genuinely impressed at the Rocka's newly found strength. However, he reassures him that the fight will not end well for him.

As the battle continues, Aldous is kicked into a wall before finding himself in close-quarter combat. Before Rocka can strike the villain in the head, another quake from the dying planet sends Rocka to the ground face-first. Aldous jumps down from the platform they were fighting on in triumph, taunting the fallen Hero with the inevitability that he will perish soon after the planet does. The Witch Doctor raises his staff with both arms, ready to finish Rocka off before he is abruptly disarmed of his staff via Stormer sneaking behind him atop the ledge and seizing him of his weapon. As the Hero mimicly taunts the villain, his power is drawn away from him, leading him to cry out and kneel, weakened in defeat before Stormer destroys the staff by snapping it in half. Upon the heroes destroying the fleeing miniature ship with all the Quaza, returning it to the planet's core, restoring it to its original pre-savage beauty, and freeing all of the animals of the Witch Doctors influence by removing their Quaza Spikes, Aldous is cuffed and led into the Heroes drop ship to which he is transported to Makuhero City and imprisoned at the Villain Storage Facility.

Breakout

Witch Doctor escaping during the Breakout

After spending many years locked away, Witch Doctor, along with every other villain held in the Villain Storage Facility escaped during the mass Breakout created by Voltix and Black Phantom using Von Nebula's Black Hole Orb Staff. In the midst of the pandemonium, Aldous, along with a few villains that resemble various Quatros wildlife, he narrowly brushed past Hero Mark Surge before re-encountering and speeding past Hero, Rocka, and disappearing into the chaos and making his getaway. Since then, he is confirmed to be one of the many criminals successfully recaptured by the Hero Factory (via Face Off Makuro's Secret Guidebook). Witch Doctor is now securely back in custody.

Personality and Traits

Aldous Witch was once a respected member of the Hero Factory’s science team, celebrated for his intellectual prowess and his ability to devise innovative solutions to complex problems. His expertise likely extended into agricultural science and engineering, as evidenced by his adept understanding of ecosystems and machinery—a skill set that made him a valuable asset to Hero Factory's research initiatives. Aldous was methodical, curious, and resourceful, consistently pushing the boundaries of what technology and science could achieve.

However, beneath his brilliance simmered a deep resentment. Aldous envied the Heroes and their Quaza Cores, which he saw as an unfair preivlage granting them power and prominence beyond his own capabilities. This jealousy festered over time, morphing into obsession. His belief that the Quaza Cores should be his to wield led to his reckless attempted self-experimentation, ultimately resulting in his discharge and exile from the Hero Factory. His fall from grace was marked by bitterness, as Aldous saw himself not as a criminal, but as a misunderstood visionary.

Witch Doctor monitoring the Heroes

After succumbing to the corrupting influence of Quaza, Aldous Witch transformed into the malevolent entity known as the Witch Doctor. This new persona is a stark departure from the intellectual and refined scientist he once was. As the Witch Doctor, Aldous adopts a brutish demeanor, often prioritizing raw power over rational thought. His actions are driven by anger, pride, and a desperate need to assert his dominance. Those who challenge his authority are met with disdain, as he considers himself the rightful wielder of Quaza's potential, the ultimate arbiter of power and intellect. Despite his brutish exterior, the Witch Doctor retains his cunning intellect. His ability to enslave the wildlife of Quatros, bending the planet's ecosystems to his will, showcases his strategic mind and technical expertise. He constructs elaborate systems to harvest and exploit Quaza, demonstrating that his scientific knowledge, though twisted by corruption, remains intact. The Witch Doctor’s mastery over both technology and living creatures highlights the terrifying synergy of his strength and intellect.

Appearance

Original Form

As a Hero Factory employee, Aldous witch shared same appearance to that of Big Joe as well as all other workers within the Hero Factory, dawning white and silver armour equipped with a dark silver hard hat, however unlike big Joe, Aldous did not utilized ear piece/microphone.

Villain Form

As the Witch Doctor, his current form resembles that of a skeleton, and bears white and black armour with red accents on his forearms while being riddled with also possessing 2 corrupted Quaza Spikes protruding out of each shoulder and two silver pistons supporting his double-jointed legs as he stands menacingly taller than all other Heroes and Villains alike.

Weapons

Witch Doctor carries the Skull Staff, a device that he created that allows him to control the wildlife on while also carrying a clawed Meteor Blaster in his official Lego set and while the blaster is visible at time, he only uses the Skull Staff in the TV Episode.
